President of Seat Luca de Mio resigns
Seat Spain, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, has announced the resignation of its president, Luca de Meo, at his request and in mutual agreement with the Volkswagen Group, according to an official statement of the company.
The statement added that Luca de Meo will remain a member of the German group until further notice, and rumors say that he is one of the main candidates for the Renault position, who is said to have already been offered the position, and it is worth noting that the one who currently leads Renault is the interim CEO Clotilde Delbos following Terry Bollor's dismissal.
As a reminder, Luca de Meo has been in the chair of Seat since 2015, and he started his career in Renault before moving to Toyota, and then to Fiat. Previous reports stated that Di Meo has a penal clause in his contract with the Volkswage group He probably explains why he remained in the group even after resigning from Seat.
